The “Add to Wiki” feature enables storytellers to generate character and lore notes from existing content or create new notes from book text. This feature supports two main workflows.
To access it, click the “Add to Wiki” option from the dropdown menu in the top right corner while in the text editor.
Three Types of Notes
When adding to the wiki, you can create:
- Lore Cards: Details about locations, organizations, alien species, magic, technology, and similar worldbuilding elements
- Scene Cards: Summaries of what happens in book scenes; serve as reminders of story progression
- Character Cards: Brief profile cards detailing book characters
Adding from Chapter Text
If you’ve written part of a book without completing the manuscript, the AI can generate cards from existing content.
Scene Cards
The AI generates summaries from written chapters. Click “Insert Scene Card” to add it to your manuscript. These cards remain private and won’t appear in published books.
Use case: Create quick summaries for reference or as “previously on…” recaps for serialized stories.
Character and Lore Cards
The AI scans written chapters to create character and lore cards automatically.
Use cases:
- Generate reference notes without manual writing
- Export to websites or Notion to build reader wikis
- Use notes as context for writing and editing tools
Adding from Your Notes
When you’ve plotted and developed your world but haven’t written yet, import notes to accelerate card creation. Upload .docx files or paste notes directly into the text box.
The AI converts your notes into character and lore cards, which you can edit anytime to enhance descriptions or fix inconsistencies.
