If you offer Author or Collection subscriptions for annual access, setting up renewal reminders helps readers avoid unexpected charges on forgotten subscriptions.
Important: As payments are processed through Stripe, the creation of renewal reminders for upcoming payments are also handled through Stripe, not Laterpress.
Setup Instructions
- Log into Stripe — Visit stripe.com and access your account.
- Navigate to Settings — Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Access Billing Settings — In the Billing section, select “Subscriptions and emails.”
- Enable Renewal Emails — Under “Prevent failed payments,” toggle the “Send emails about upcoming renewals” slider to the right until it displays a colored background.
- Set Timing — Use the dropdown menu next to “Upcoming renewal events” to choose when notifications should be sent: 3, 7, 15, 30, or 45 days before renewal.
- Save Changes — Click the “Save” button to apply these settings.
